With a 12 hour work day ahead of me, and a rowdy trivia night behind me I made the executive decision to sleep until 6:15 a.m. and sneak in a run at work.
Running at work is amazing. Whenever I mention to my friends I went for a jog midday at work I get the same response “I wish I could do that!” and I respond with “then do it!” I realize there are probably some jobs where you are unable to make this happen and I am sorry. But to my knowledge, most jobs give you a 30 min- 60 min lunch break during your shift. (If this is not the case please let me know. I will get Sally Field and the Labor Board on the phone and crack some skulls). You can use your lunch break however you please. Go for a run! The key is being prepared.

Today the goal was to run an “easy” 3 miles. Easy is referring to the pace. This should be a pace that you could potentially have a convo with a friend throughout the run. Since I run solo 99.9% of the time I judge this by whether or not I can sing along with my music. And yes, yes I do sing out loud during my runs… (You don’t?)
I ended up starting out too fast. My first mile was 10 min. If I were not post-holiday season-post- trivia-night- Meg this would prob have been a fine pace. But fat-kid-Meg was struggling a bit. I slowed it down to a 10 min and 20 second pace for the next two miles.
I finished my run up a bit early due to my lack of ability to do math and measure appropriately. Since I had forgotten my lunch, I needed to pick up something and had planned to end my run at the café down the street. I got there at 2.85 miles. I could’ve kept going past the café but mentally I could not make myself do it.
I was so happy to come home to a home cooked meal by the BF (KC). Burgers are his specialty/ all he cooks. But I am beyond appreciative each and every timehe makes dinner for me. I was stoked to put on my XL sweatpants, hoodie and sip red wine while cuddling the puppy (and by puppy I mean 5 year old pit bull) and watch TV shows.
KC and I caught up on HIMYM. We are both probably overly upset that the show is coming to an end. Monday’s episode was slightly emotional so I was happy to follow that up with New Girl and Brooklyn 99.
Hit the hay at 10 to wake up at 5.a.m. Gym in the morning!
Tuesday Food:
Breakfast- Luna bar, large coffee with skim milk and splenda

Lunch- Chicken Caesar salad with cheese, croutons, creamy Caesar dressing. (The evil café worker also gave me 2 slices of HOME MADE honey wheat bread. By the grace of God I only ate a corner of the bread and took the rest home for the BF)
Dinner- Cheeseburger, sesame bun with turkey bacon and a lot of tater tots. 2 glasses of red wine (did I mention my 12 hour day?!)
Dessert- 3 s ‘more bar cookies (just being honest)
