Hello! It’s Wednesday, you have made it halfway through the work week. Congrats!
My Wednesday started off like most days. Alarm went off at 5:30 AM. I slept poorly listening to plows and cars getting stuck going up the hill of the driveway. But, I somehow managed to get my exhausted body out of bed and into oso many layers of running clothes.

KC very kindly geared up to clean off both cars and move my car to make it easier for me to leave for work. This makes his watching wrestling way more tolerable.
The roads and the sidewalks were so slippery- nice greasy snow that I decided to take it slow. Like real slow ended up doing 12 minute splits. Since I knew the conditions would impair my pace, I decided I would listen to Mindy Kaling’s book “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?” whilst running. I had a epiphany the other day, a book on tape is about as long as it will projectedly take me to run a marathon. And my thought is 26.2 miles will just fly by if I am listening to a hilarious book on tape. My worry is that my time will be much worse because I’ll be distracted by the book on tape (is it still called a book on tape? it is technically book on Iphone…)

My run was beautiful, fresh snow coating the roads and trees; sun rising and everything was bright. My miles were so slow. But I was quite scared that I would slip, fall on the ground and get hit by a car and die. So I had good reason to be terrified.
It is hard to say whether or not the book distracted me or my fear of dying, so I will give it a try again, maybe on my long run on Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the book though and LOLed twice.

After my run, I took Sadie for a quick walk as that bitch hates the snow. I hate driving in the snow, and I do not loooove running in it but I do like how clean the world looks with fresh snow. And I love how delicious coffee tastes after being outside in the snow for an extended period of time.
I refueled with a Breakfast Fruit Quesadilla. I stretched some while it baked but will be stretching more tonight since tomorrow I have a run and yoga scheduled.

Do you run in the snow?
